    Re: Denali power help

I have a Westers PCM Tune, K&N FIPK and a Corvette Servo.

It shifts nice and hard, plenty of power. The factory computer "tune" leaves A LOT of room for improvement!

My suggestion is to look into a performance tune and a Cold Air intake like K&N, Outlaw or Volant. They all do the exact same thing and it's just a matter of cosmetic preference in my opinion.

There's a website just for us Denali guys www.denalitrucks.com

The tune will make the biggest difference of all. So if you're working on a tight budget, get the tune first (I think the tune is about $400 for a 2002 Denali from Advanced Products in Massachussettes - http://www.advancedprod.com/Westers/index.htm). After you get the tune, you can then decide if it's worth a couple hundred more to upgrade the intake & another $500 to do the exhaust, or you may even be happy with the power you get just from the tune. I was blown away with how much quicker my Denali is with that Westers tune - faster acceleration, crisper shifts, firmer & quicker downshifts - it's just night & day. So 1. Tune, 2. Intake, 3. Exhaust, and then if you're going to plan for more power in the future then beef up your tranny next with the Corvette servos and possibly even a shift kit.
