does anyone know if an 03 6.0l will even run without the front o2 sensors installed. i have a 03 base truck that had a 4.3l i am putting a 6.0 in (pics to come) but i cant get it to run, i do not have the exhaust installed yet so the o2 sensors are not there yet. has anyone else ran into this

never had a problem with that, they will run without them, just rough as hell. What is it doing?

howd you wire this into your 4.3L truck?
PCM wiring is severly different between both platforms.
not to mention 2 extra injectors.

If it fires for a few ds then dies, I wonder if you need to do a security relearn.
The VATS is shutting the injectors down because the PCM thinks U are stealing the truck.

im about 4k deep right now but i am going put twin turbos on it so after getting it running for next season i will be about in it for 5k and then about anouther 5k in the turbos next winter.Originally Posted by 04SilveradoMykk

Like PAULY said, you have to have the VATS turned off or it will never start. VATS= vehicle anti theft system. If you are using the factory 6.0 computer then you will need to send it off to have the vats turned off and have it tuned while you are at it. Or, you can have someone with a tech2 reprogram the computer to match the cluster.
