Hey fellas i read through all the threads already posted and saw lots of info and such a lot saying it depending on your setup and tuning.
    WELL. I have

and am going to get electric fans and a afpr soon. is the 3704 worth it? I want to know if there are substantial gains to be had?

Your intake manifold isn't holding you back at all right now.
You'd be better off getting a LT1 or Vortec roller cam setup at a junkyard and buying equipment to burn your own chips.
That's where you'd see the biggest gains in your situation.

You probably wouldn't notice much of a difference (if at all) by changing your intake.

im not trying to go all out on this motor. i plan on swapping engines in about a year so i dont wanna get too deep into this thing. i might just do my electric fans next if i dont get anyone saying its worth it.

In that case I'd definitely just save the money and not buy the intake. Maybe get a set of full roller rockers (read: not roller tip rockers) that you could swap onto your new engine when you get it.

As for the chip, the only way to go is self-tuning. Off the shelf chips are garbags and the mail order tunes are better, but not much.
