t-case in 97 yukon

So i have a 97 yukon with the electronic shift on the transfer case.

The t-case is leaking out the back and since it will need to be torn apart, was wondering if now might be a good time to upgrade.

Im a car guy and dont know a whole lot about trucks, what sort of upgrades are available as far as transfer cases go on these trucks?

Right now its a dd but i want to make it a capable offroad truck, and for the next few years will get mild upgrades to the stock 350, when the 350 goes itll be getting a 200cc headed 383.

I don't think there's much you can do with that transfer case.
