    Im ordering the pistons that i will be using in my 383 and I need help finding compression.

    The Deck height of the block is standard height, the bore is 4.030, stroke a 3.75, and 64 cc Vortec heads.

    I know that i need to find a piston with a compression height of 1.425 but i need help finding out what the compression will be and what recomendations you have for pistons with compression around 9.5 to 1. The pistons i think i have chosen are

    with the piston .025" below the deck (based on a 9.025 stock deck height)
    with a .040" head gasket

    a -12cc dish puts you at 9.7572:1 comp ratio
