    what all is needed for 454 tbi swap tp 350 tbi? whats the best head cam combo with the 454 tbi on the 350? ive done a search and havent come to a definitive answer. any help or input is appreciated!!!! looking at roller rockers too

    do a little research on engines first, if you don't know the dif between a big block and a small block, you shouldn't own a truck........or any vehicle for that matter.

    some say you're going to need something pretty wild to warrant the need for a 454 TB. personally, i'm going to be running a Vortec headed engine, either a 350, or more likely a 383.

    good edit, thats's a better question. I agree with grease dog, The 350tbi can be made to flow well enough for most anything that would be considered a daily driver.

    well ive got some vortec heads on the tether, a bigger cam in the works, but im doing alot of research right now trying to learn more about these tbi engines. if i get the vortec heads, what is the best intake? whats the best cam? im looking for 300ish hp. nothing too radical. i have alot of things planned for this truck. i built an lt1 camaro and have messed withn a few other cars. now im going in the 4wd direction. i dont want to be chastised, just need answers to what i cant figure out in a search.

    whats your planned compression ratio? displacement? gear ratio? tire size? intended use? not enough info on anything to make any recomendations.

    You can get any intake that will bolt to vortec heads, there are plenty of them. Then get a carb to tbi adapter plate. Long runners (intake tubes)get more torque, short runners and large plenum get more HP.

    daily around town driver/mudder. i have come across some info and heres what im thinking..... 95 lt1 cam, hardened pushrods, 454 throttle body with 350 injectors, performer rpm intake, 1.6 rr's, and longtube heddman hedders. its already true dualed, and im sure im gonna get a custom tbi chip afterward. then later ill add other things like maybe rebuild to 383, up injectors and build driveline to handle 500ish hp. ive also ben looking at multi point conversion later too. keeping my 3.73's and maybe upgrading to 31's this winter, if i get my body lift like i want to. what do ya think?
