    Re: best TBI tuner?

I would buy an ebl flash and tune learn to tune it yourself. Thats my route next when the money comes around. I would probably also spend the money on a procharger or whipple if you want it to last cause they are kind of a hit or miss from what i understand. Although the guy that sells them is pretty helpful from what people say.

Agreeing with the above about the EBL for your engine! It's only transmission control is TCC, just to be sure you know this.

hey flyinbrian, how did that EBL and tuning help you with mpg's overall? Are you running 87,89,91, or 93 octane with it? Thanks!

So from what I've read on the EBL site, the EBL will 'learn' and basically program the tune to your vehicle?

    Re: best TBI tuner?

Thats pretty much what i have learned and understood. The only thing is that the tune is only as good as the reading from the 02 therefore you need a wide-band O2 sensor to start doing WOT tunes. From my understanding, its the only way to go with TBI! I'm surprised it hasn't flooded this site yet while ive been missing in action trying to finish up school.

    Re: best TBI tuner?

That all depends on what year TBI you are trying to tune. 94-95 you can not use EBL.

I'm guessing it's b/c of the 4L60E tranny that the computer controls as well and EBL doesn't do that..........

    Re: best TBI tuner?

I have a 2" Holley base with the stock 350 pod on top, stock injectors with high volume pump and raise fuel pressure with no issues. I think I'm using 3 ports (MAP in rear, PCV in front, and I don't remember what else is in front) and the rest are plugged off. I don't have any problems with running out of air or fuel at WOT. Bought the 2" base off Ebay from Affordable Fuel Injection

I have the 350 TBI bored out to 2". I bought it from a guy off Ebay as well. I also have 454 80 lbs/hr injectors to feed the 383. You will need a tune after you install that.

And yes 94-95 "PCM" controls the 4L60E tranny.

No EFFIN comparison to how it pulls vs the stocker....none at all. I could cruise in it stock but didn't have to get-go for passing or for towing much. It puts a smile on my face every time I just give it half throttle. It pulls hard throughout full rpm range.

Maybe...I could give a LITTLE credit to my tuner too though. He may have helped it SOME...not much...a little.

.....tune made a world of difference, really it did. You can have the best damn parts money can buy but if it's not tuned to work together you won't be seeing the full benefit.
