personally what i would do is find some place that is able to fab up your exhaust with stainless steel pipe as being up in main you must have some good rust up there. for the muffler i wouldnt touch eather one as glasspacks are not my thing and they burn out. as for the flowmaster they may sound nice but are restrictive and if you dont get the stainless steal version will only last 2 years. a magnaflow would be the best as they are full stainless steel and reversible.

    MagnaFlow 12198

    custom tail pipe

you may be able to run that tailpipe you listed if you use a reducer like this but you may need a section of 3" pipe to connect it to the muffler.

    Re: exhaust help y pipe

well if you already have the mufflers and that h pipe and you wanna go single pipe out then you need something to join the two pipes and make it into 2 3/4" for that tail pipe.

    MagnaFlow 10748
    reducer
    Dynomax Performance 41968

your also going to need a little 2" and 2 1/2" pipe to use between the connections.

    pic of the idea

    Re: exhaust help y pipe

in theory it should work. that tail pipe that you linked in the first post is a 2 3/4" pipe where the magnaflow y pipe is 2 1/2" out so that's why you need the adapter. only thing i may see a problem is that the mounting points on the tail pipe may be off so you may have to wing it when putting it together.
