350 TPI Motor in a 1992 Chevy Silverado

I was wondering where I would locate a company that burns chips for this type of setup. The motor is running but it misses a lot because it is using the original Silverado ECU/Computer. I am looking to get a Vette ECU/Computer and have it sent off to someone who can program it for my truck. Or if there is any better way please let me know!

I am also new to this site.

Thanks for the replies in advance.

    The good... and the bad...

    1. I am using the Stock ECU from the truck.
    2. No chip yet.
    3. Base Fuel Pressure
    4. Stock Vette Injector
    5. Base Timing
    6. Havent tried this yet.
    7. No EGR
    8. No engine mods besides the stock 350 TPI Engine.

I am actually very new to this... I need to know exactly what is a "must" mod in order for the engine to run properly, or atleast half way decent, and what should be done in the future. I just want to get the engine working and from there I can start modding the engine. I currently am however just looking to get the engine working correctly. This truck was originally done with the intentions of visual appearance but I was able to pickup the vette motor for 600 bucks so it seamed like a steal of a deal.

    Thanks again.

    1. to be honest, yes the 7730 computer is a better to be using
because the TBI was only designed to drive two injectors not eight
    the TPI has.
    2. the GM TBI uses 55lb/hr injectors x two and fires the TBI twice
per crankshaft revolution. the TPI uses 19lb/hr (305) 22lb/hr x eight and fires twice per crankshaft revolution.
this means the TBI uses 220lb/hr of fuel @ 9-13psi
    the TPI uses (19lb/hr injectors) uses 304lb/hr @ 37-42psi
    the TPI uses (22lb/hr injectors) uses 352lb/hr @ 37-42psi
so you are under fueling the TPI with stock TBI programming.
    its LEAN LEAN LEAN!!!
    3. base is?? stock TBI 9-13psi of TPI 37-41psi?
    4. youll need to get one or have a custom chip burned with the truck
    present for the tuner.
    5. ok
    6. fine...
replace the TBI computer with the 7730 computer. repin the outputs,
youll have to either use a signal generator for the speed input for the
torque converter dakota digital SGI-5), or use a manual lock up kit.
youll have to use a custom chip to burn the VATS when you do the
computer swap or use a VATS bypass to enable the injectors to
    start.
