If you're going to post this somewhere else let me know first.
Alright,You got a tired OBS truck with a POS SBC and you want to run your LS Engine.. here's What I used.
IF YOU WANT TO USE YOUR CURRENT 95-98 60e
with an Lt1 style 60e like ours. You just need a 00-02 flexplate from a 6.0 lq4 and the spacer with it.. Buy new bolts for it. They're longer than the regular 5.3 bolts.
THIS IS THE PART NUMBER FOR A FLEXPLATE KIT WITH BOLTS AND SPACER ------> (12621399) It's 100 Bucks or so on summit but cheaper ($57) on a different site.. ill post the link as soon as SSean gives it to me lol
STATIC DROPPED GUYS PAY ATTENTION HERE
If you're low you might want to look into using an F body oil pan, they're a little shorter and it'd be safer.
INTAKE FUELING SETUPS, RETURNLESS VS. FEED&RETURN
You can use any intake that has two lines running to it (It's Simpler). A feed and return. Mine is an 02' so it has two lines for the intake.. Lucky me the stock vortec 5.7's have two lines like that, So i didn't have to switch to a returnless intake, there's not really a difference between the two intakes
ADAPTER MOUNTS
Mounts, i went with the transdapt that set the engine at 0" setback like a SBC engine. (ls blocks aren't as long so i had to move up my tranny crossmember and drill new holes for it in the frame)
You can also use the 1" setback, which will put the transmission crossmember like stock. I have no experience with the other brands though. Im sure S&P is good. I heard the dingo mount adapters are adjustable and im sure that would cause problems later down the road if they aren't tight enough etc.
Anyways. here's a parts list guys.

FUEL SUPPLY
These are fittings for an intake
Intake Pressure side feed slip on fitting http://www.summitracing.com/parts/RUS-640850/ ( you need this regardless if you have a dual line intake or a single)
Intake Low pressure return slip on fitting http://www.summitracing.com/parts/RUS-640860/
The Vortec OBS trucks like ours have threaded disconnects aside from the ones ontop of the intake, They're located behind the block at the firewall, you can hook up to the line fittings on the intake with these and some Summit "twist lok" hose. Make sure they're for the O ring connections
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/RUS-640820/
and http://www.summitracing.com/parts/RUS-640830/
Just buy -6 hose ends. You need (4)
TBI guys you get the leftovers
You guys have One line, so it'd be in your best interest to use a returnless fuel rail system.
FUEL
get the high pressure side slip on fitting listed above, you need one the way you're going to be doing this.
Either Buy a walbro 255 or a stock vortec fuel pump.
"But, but, vortec's have two lines?!" This right here usually scares most guys off so heres what you need to do.. Buy yourself a Corvette fuel filter. It'll be like running a feed and return fuel rail. Any ls1,6,2,7 that has the two lines on the bottom of the filter will work.
That's all for today so i'll be posting picture of progress and different member's swaps.

Because a 24 year old injection system sitting on top of a 56 year old engine design doesn't compete with the latest offerings from GM doesn't make it a POS.
Your opinions might make you one, though.
As far as TBI small blocks, they're just old. And there's a hell of a lot of them still out there doing what they do best, running great, day after day, year after year, and will still be running long after you "gotta have the latest" guys have forgotten all about your LS-swapped vehicles and are off on whatever new trend there is.
Is there really any point to trash-talking an old engine design? Do you really need to do this to pump up your confidence with your swap? Really???
