Yall in this forum are a big help. That being said I have a few questions. I found a 1989 GMC dually with a blowen 454 in it, and about 3 years ago i bought my first GMC a 1989 c1500, and ive been chasing little problems with wiring. My question is could i take my 350 and my 700r4 out of my c1500 and put them into the dually? what would need to be done? and what rear gears would work with the 350 700r4 set up in this truck if its possable to do

Will the 350 hook up to the th400 transmission or do i need a adapter plate? do i need to move motor mounts? i know i need to change the tbi chip to a 350 chip but is that it? does the th-400 run independently is it computer controlled
shouldnt be an issue bolting the 350 to the tranny, shouldnt need an adaptor, and just swap the computers, easy enough to do, and being an 89, it is prob cable operated

Agreed, the 700r4 is a little weak for you purpose, should bolt right up. they're pretty interchangeable
