I have a 2007 (Classic) body reg cab short bed and I am thinking about pulling the 4.3 v6 out and putting in a 5.3 or a 5.7 v8 motor.
Has anyone done this or do they all do the carb motors.
Just looking for info for the future.

the 5.3 is the best swap you could do IMO. and you can run a carb easily as well. they are available on the cheap to so you get good power on a budget...
there is a thread on here that also tells you whats needed. i think it was posted by Demon?
