Thats pretty cheap, hard to get any better. The description is unclear, I think its saying that 195 is more or less just a min. Worth calling customer support just to clearify.

I tore down my motor on my '98 k1500 today and it has bigger problems than I thought. I believe I floated the valves on two cylinders and it bent them and scarred the pistons. With 175,000 miles on the motor, it struggles to hold good oil pressure and Im thinking the best thing to do is replace the motor. I am looking for a 350, nothing too crazy but I do want a 4 bolt main.
Looking around for the cheapest motor, I found this one on summit: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/NAL-10067353/
I dont really understand the specs on it. it says up to 260 horsepower with a 4bbl and headers. Any ideas on what the power would be with my stock manifolds and sequential fire injection? Is this a good motor or should I find something else?
Any help will be greately appreciated, thank you!

I will have to look around more before I make any decisons, found a few more on pace performance. Was the bolt pattern for the intake manifold changed in '85? Most of the motors are saying they are for up to an '85.
Thats not going to work very well in a vortec application. You need a long lock with 1 piece rear main seal, roller cam, and vortec heads. Why do you want 4 bolt main caps?

For the bottom end strength. Is it worth it? I havent been looking around long so still not sure. I found a direct replacement for around $1800.
Not necessary unless you plan on hammering the living dogsnot out of it pulling working dragging etc daily.
There are replacements available for less than 1800.

Most will be rebuilt engines unless you buy right from GM or a distributor. A 2-bolt will be fine, I have 2 in the 375-400HP range that are happy as a pig in mud.
'92 Sierra (TBI 383/Vortecs/Comp 08-412-8/EBL/4L60/3.08s), '78 Malibu (Vortec'd 350/4-speed/2.29s), '87 Pontiac Fiero GT (2.8 v6/5-speed)
Alright thanks everyone. Im looking for a straight replacement, looks like I can get one to the door for about $2,000. gonna look around more today and hopefully order one tonight or tomorrow.
Thats right.
That engine is for older trucks.
Not sure why people are so afraid to rebuild there engines. You know what you have and what is wrong with it.If a rods out the side its a little different.
Most all engines that you buy are remans. So why noy just rebuild your own.If you do the removal, and install,it should be less money.Plus you will know what has been done to it.

The issue with a reman is it's like all your other mass-produced stuff... it's hit or miss. If you at the very least have a shop do your short block you're more than likely to have a better engine because machine shops have a reputation to uphold.

I went with a spartan/atk reman from advance auto. I wouldve loved to rebuild my own, but I needed my truck back quick and have never done a rebuild before. Cost was a major concern also, and advance was the best option for time/money concerns.
