OK, so I'm bagging my truck around September or so. As of now I have dual single chamber Flowmasters, with dual 3" side exit before the rear tire on the pass side with 3" oval tips. The truck is gonna lay out, and now the pipes would get crushed. Usually I would just dump it, but the truck resonated so loud I couldn't take it and my 3 year old said it hurt her ears. Can't have that. So I was wondering what other route I could go with it and what some of you guys with bagged trucks have done. Should I go over the rear? Or would it look retarded? Or should I go under the rear? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

It's going to be hard to run any sort of tailpipes on a bagged pickup. Why not just swap to some quieter mufflers and run dumps then

I had a local meineke custom bend a set of tailpipes up and over the rear and out the back . They put a set of chrome turndowns on and made them hang just about even with the bottome of the rollpan . It took some time to do but it came out great .

Tony yer my hero, and my truck and I are jealous. BTW, do you have any pics?

I thought about going with a quieter setup, but I love the sound of the single chambers. I've had Flow's on everything I've ever owned, there's even one on my wife's Grand Am.

What could I go with that is quieter but still gives the performance?

Sorry to say I dont have any at this time . If I get my truck back together this weekend I'll take some . I have a 50 series flow single in/dual out . The first shop that did the install on the bags cut off the tailpipes right after the muffler and it drove me nuts . It was so loud inside the cab . Now it's nice and quiet inside and I still have a little rumble outside . My exhaust was orginally 3" from the cat all the way back . The new tailpipes are I think 2.5" which helped with clearance . It worked out nice the meineke had a drive on lift for the exhausts . drove the truck up on the lift and aired it out . The guy went to work custom bending new tailpipes and a new y-pipe so the truck does lay on the y-pipe .
