I really like the sound of Borlas on the nbs'. :dunno;
I have bullets but they are really loud. And I wouldnt dump the exhaust. Esp not with Flows.

i have a 99 z71 extended cab with a 4.8. was wondering what muffler to use? i will be going with a 3 inch from the cat back with a single in dual out muffler. was thinking flowmater super 40 or magnaflow or even borla does anyone have a sound clip with that engine size? doesnt matter what muffler you have just would like to hear some sound clips of what my truck would sould like. i already have went to borla, flowmaster, and magnaflow websites but i would like to hear it on my truck. i will also have it dumped, but not sure if haveing it dumped will have a sound difference than if i ran tail pipes. i have subs in my truck so i dont want the exhaust to drone it out when im driving down the highway but when im putting around town i want it to sound really mean.

why not dump the exhaust? and why not with the flows?
it makes the exhaust louder, increases droning and can rot your bed out. Flows are prone to droning anyways, so why make it worse. my flow super 40 has duals out to the rear and it doesn't drone, IMO.Originally Posted by Z71_Offroad
