I want my exhaust to exit before the rear tire. I'm going to buy an Aerochamber muffler. I can either buy the 3" center inlet/outlet and Y it off into two tips, or should I just buy the 2.5" inlet, DUAL 2.5" outlet? Truck specs are listed in my sig. Help is greatly appreciated! This is the look I want:

That's a Gibson setup on the truck. I say go for the 2.50 in
dual 2.50 out. That'll make a nice clean install. Is this one
of the two you're thinking about ?

Yeah man, that's the one. Will 2.5" inlet work on the nbs 5.3? Thanks for the reply!

I don't know what size the pipe is. Any good exhaust shop
could hook you up on a clean install with little trouble.
Just take a pic with you of how you want it like that ride
above. I know Gibson sells those square tips, but John
has LOT of different tips at his place. Nice guy too. >

    Or

    and
    http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku
One is the right side and one is the left. I know I had em on an S-10 out
the back on a dual setup I had on it.

Or you buy the whole gizmo from Gibson, but the sound is almost
    stock & NOT cheap.

Stock pipe size on the 5.3L is 2.75" I've got a single 3" in/out aerochamber on my truck right now. Stretch the stock intermediate pipe to 3" ID and then you can either run dual tips or y into two pipes. Its up to you.

Just to be clear ... stretch the intermediate pipe to fit the opening of the muffler for an easy slip over fit.

Stock is 2.75". Get a 3"in/dual 2.5" out. It will make it easier to run dual tips and there are a lot more tips out there that will mate up to a 2.5" inlet.

    Thanks Chuggernaut
