I just put a set of Jet-Hot coated Edelbrock mid-lengths on my '95 this spring and I didn't notice any more noise in the cab. The ceramic keeps the headers quieter and also keeps the heat in them.
I have essentially the same exhaust system after the headers as yours and I did get a noticable increase in torque.
thanx for the help guys
one more question
ive heard about different types like short, mid length like astroracer said, and long length. whats the difference between these besides the obvious length. me thinksthat the short might give me more torque. ??????

Long tubes will give you more torque. I didn't notice much of and exhaust sound difference on my 95 with JBA shorties but did notice more valve train noise. I havent noticed the valve train noise with the ceramic coted Hamms I have now.
thanks alot......anyone recommend a good brand or specific header???
i think ive heard that ceramic is better for performance, im goin straight for performance. dont really care on looks

A few are using Hamms, but something happen. I dont know if you can get them anymore.

When you say valve train noise, are you refering to a clicking like noise? If so I picked that up when I put the LaPoles on. At first I thought I had a leak but after tightening everything down I figured it was natural. I've really been impressed with the LaPole headers. That may be a route you want to look into. If so try to get ahold of Featherfoot, he can get you in touch with Dean LaPole, I think they are working together now.Originally posted by BigKID
