I have a 1987 chevy caprice and I plan on keeping it for a while. It has a 305 and T-350 tranny, and I recently discovered the passenger side manifold has rust holes which create a awful sound. So i plan on going with some headers.Trying to decide whether or not to go shorties or full length.Basically need help with deciding on headers.

    Thanks in advance!!!!

    Re: Header Reconmendations

Personal suggestion, assuming you want to remain emissions legal, would be to look at Thorley Tri-Y headers. You'll get bigger gains compared to shorties, and installation will be easier than LTs - not to mention emissions legality is retained. Most LTs do not allow you to remain emissions legal.

Regardless of your decision, get the headers ceramic coated.
