I have the regular 40 and im happy with it. My friend also has regualar 40 on his 5.3 and it sounds pretty good as well. I think the delta flow are supposed to be the quietest of them all.

Watching this thread - a shop near me can do a cat back with FM's for around $200....but I am looking for something not too loud...what model meets that criteria?

how about something OTHER than flowmasters? that way when you drive by people don't say "Holy crap! another chevy with flowmasters!"

Spintech pro street or super pro street if you wanna be REALLY loud.
