hey guys..i have an 06 silverado 2500hd with the 6.0liter. I want to simply cut out the stock muffler and replace it. Upon my research i found the flowmaster part number 530513..its a direct replacement for the stock muffler, it even includes an adapter pipe to match everything up. However it says the newest its for is an 04 silverado. I also looked up an 04 and 06 muffler on gmparts direct and their slightly different part numbers but this doesnt mean much i guess, the difference may have nothing to do with the fit or anything. However i found the installation instructions online and what they say to do and looking at the picture it is identicle to my 06. will this flowmaster 530513 work for me? i hope so because its ordered but otherwise i guess ill just have to have a shop fit it in..

go for it, it will probably be fine, worst comes to worse have an exhuast shop custom install it for you
A shop would probably only charge like $20 to install it if it doesn't bolt right up.
these guys make performance direct replacement mufflers for the HD truck with the dual 3" exhaust systems.
