    air gun on exhaust manifold bolts?

    i am applying PB Blaster to the exhaust manifold bolts, but when its time to take them out tomorrow can i use an air gun to unbolt them or should i use a hand socket wrench?

    i just used my impact on a set tonight, never had any problems before.
    77 Chevy K20 - 80 GMC K2500 (in pieces)
    90 Chevy K3500 - 93 Chevy C2500 (in pieces) - 94 Chevy K1500

    yeah but how many times have you replaced or taken those bolts out previously? i never taken my out, its only a 97 but i dont want them to break off. that would be inconvenient

    i took my off with a 3/8 drive impact. didnt have a problem backed right out
    97 Z71, 3 inch body, 35s, 16x10 inch wheels, true dual exhaust with imco mufflers, alpine cde-9841 hu, 2 memphis mclass 10s, memphis 2-100 amp

    thanks. i will go see what i have. the headers just came so i will start in about an hour or so in the 105 degree weather

    never since '92, and '93 on the last 2 engines i did. they still had the factory locks on the bolts. pulled the ones on my '77 that way too.
