    Hey All,

I've got a 98 1/2 ton, ecsb, 350, and just bought a dynomax true dual setup, mainly for the mandrel bent 2 1/2 inch piping. The super turbo mufflers that came on it are very quiet--waaay too quiet for a 21 year old who's paying this much to drive a V8. I'm ready for loud. I'm think I'm set on dynomax race bullets, just barely enough tone to notice, but rowdy as can be. I didn't find a whole lot of opinions on this particular "muffler", in this application. What do you guys think on length? You can get them anywhere from 9-16+ inches long, just wondering really how much that affects the final sound. Starts off with edelbrock shorty headers (installed tomorrow at shop), factory headpipes, dynomax true dual piping into 18x4 inch tips. Any thoughts, suggestions? You guys seem to know your stuff. Thanks in advance.

When it comes to lengh the shorter the louder, so if you want good and loud get the 9" ones.

If you have the factory catylitic converters and you put bullets on it its not going to be THAT loud. I took my cats off and put 12 inch summit brand glasspacks (same as bullets) on. Its loud poppy and raspy just how I like it. Also if you want to know I haveit angled out the back at 45s with 4 inch slash cuts.

Oh and just so you know its not UNBEARINGLY loud- as long as you don't mess around piping everybody the cops around here don't bother me. There is a soundclip of a red silverado on youtube with my setup. Type in glasspacks no cats chevrolet and it should show up.
    Hope I could help

You really don't think that true duals would be loud, even nearly straight piped?? I guess I don't need it ridiculously loud, but c'mon, I need to breathe fire once in a while. Forgetting that I've got a V8 is not an option. Anyone else heard this setup?

the 9" bullets should be pretty loud. My exhaust is pretty damn loud as it is so I would assume yours would be rediculous in that good way. I'm running flowtech shorty smog headers into an edelbrock y pipe, magnaflow 3" cat, straight 3" intermediate pipe and an 3" offset-in center-out Flo Pro v-force muffler with the tailpipe hacked off 8" or so after the muffler, no turndown. I set off car alarms daily. The drone in the cab doesn't bother me all that much, but yes....it drones like crazy. It sounds mean though.

Go with the 9" bullets if you're just looking to be loud. Not a lot of tone, but you'll definitely be heard. If that's not loud enough, get cut-outs or change your cam. You'd be surprised how changing your cam can wake up your exhaust. Your exhaust is never really going to sound all THAT mean anyway without a cam swap. It will just sound like a really loud stocker. Of course a cam swap probably isn't an option for most people. Money is like drinking water, it seems like there's always a drought when you're thirsty.

Yea, I got the ceramic ones. It's been a couple of days since the install now, and I love them. They don't get too hot, they noticeably improve throttle response and lower end power, and did I mention they look great? Fuel economy is probably in the makings, but not right now while I'm still enjoying my the new addition. Still kicking around the size of bullet I'm gonna go with tho.... Love to hear a clip if anyones got one.

Here is a clip of bullets I found on youtube. The vid belongs to a member on here. Not sure on the length of them but Im pretty sure they are the 9" short ones.

I've had mine for almost 2yrs now and I will tell you, other than the flange itself, they look as good as the day I installed them.

Bullets aren't exactly like glasspacks. They don't have the louvers inside them that glasspacks do, so the sound is going to be slightly different.
