It makes children cry and old men cringe. So possibly.

    IMO backpressure = torque

It wont hurt anything. The muffler has been off my truck since 2005. I just cut the flowmaster off and had Y pipe put in its place.

HAHAHA!! Exactally what I thought when I saw the title. Its amazing how many people disregard proper punctuation and spelling on this forum. Use real words so we can understand!! Just my rant...

Otherwise what they said, without back pressure you'll see a drop in low end torque.

other than sounding like crap, no, it wont hurt anything, so long as the exhaust isnt leaking into the cab... that can make you get very... well, dead.

Na, sorry man. Maybe I'm just an old man (wait, I'm only 20?) but thats just one of my pet peeves. Especially on a forum based entirely on words and writing.

But I'm just being grouchy. Keep asking questions!! There are tons of nice helpful guys and girls on here.

What about the fellas? I'm neither a gal nor a girl.

BTW, running without a muffler on an OBS/TBI won't hurt anything other than your ears. Remove the cat and you've really got problems from a low-end performance standpoint, not to mention passing emissions, and plain ol' human breathing.
