I put the same headers on my 05, I didn't notice anymore sound out of them but that wasn't what I was going for. I did get more performance so that was good

if you want sound only, go for a long tube... if you want performance... well go for a long tube...LOL... shorties are only good for mild performance gains...staying carb legal
its just hard to justify spending the money on longtube cuz id only but the dynatech ones with the cats and all 1200 dollars is alot of money for that i dunno im stumped on what to do lol

IF you already have the shorties then you should put them on. Otherwise they are only a couple hundred bucks and they will help a little with sound and they will help performance so your really not out much

I agree, put them on already! I put a pair on my '04 Silverado and noticed a sound difference. Its deeper with more volume at idle and slower speeds, and sounds better at WOT. I also gained a good bit of power down low and in the midrange. Get a custom tune after and you'll really be impressed. I gained an extra 20 ft-lbs down low and 15 hp up top after my Blackbear tune.
really thats awesome alot ppl say dont bother with em thanks guys just gotta wait for a good day to do it since its like 30 degrees in ohio lol

I would just leave the stock y-pipe and cats.
