Hedman Headers

Does any one run these?

I was thinking of installing them but it says i have to modify the rotary a/c bracket. Do i really? AND I have to weld in an o2 bung.

Would it be a more straight forward install going with these hookers?

THe hookers have an o2 bung in them so they would be an easier install compared to the hedmans.

I wouldnt waste my money on the flowtechs.


I have had both the hedmans and hookers, and prefer the hookers for their quality and they have the o2 bung welded in.

If I were you I would get the hookers and use wxhaust manifold gaskets not the supplied header gaskets.

I have the Hookers on my '90 model. The O2 bung was welded on, but the hole was not drilled thru the tube. A blow torch took care of that. Went right in from the top. I did a motor swap at the same time, so the front of the motor wasn't on yet (belt, power steering pump, etc). That probably made it easier. I like them. Like he said above, use regular gaskets and not the supplied gaskets. I used the ones that came in the head gasket kit, and have only had to tighten 3 bolts one time.

honestly I prefer the hedman headers because of the ball seat for the collector== no future gasket leaks unlike every other headers out there. Yes you have to get the o2 bung welded into your exhaust but any exhaust shop can do that plus you're redoing your entire system with those long tubes anyways

Having worked with all of the brands mentioned I prefer the Hookers. There is another thread "which headers" that will shed more light on the short Flowtech pipes.
