    To each their own ...

I had a 92 GMC 5.7 RC 2 wheel drive , I had a flowmaster dual out the back with 3.5 tips on it.
Drove it every day to work a whole 1.2 miles away for 5 years , then sold the truck to my buddy , he's had it now for 2+ years , looks and sounds as good as it did the day I had it put on.
My only complaint about it was a drone noise at 75 MPH ...
But dam it sounds good !!!
I can't really say what got the best bang for the buck ?
I had the TB spacer put in , replaced the stock air filter with a K&N, took the stock snorkel accordion looking pipe off between the air cleaner housing and inner fender and removed the hour glass plastic piece inside it , re installed it. Then had the flowmaster installed.
Seat of the pants dyno; big difference from right off the line, especially cruising at 60 and floor it to pass it pulled great..

These videos of just sitting there hitting the throttle , most exhausts sound bad , need to hear it under a load !

I have a flowmaster 40 on one of my trucks and it sounds good, good and loud when you get on it but has a nice mellow tone at highway speeds. The only problem is if I really floor ir it is too high pitched, this is because it is a v6 of course but I have heard magnaflow's on the same engine and they sound better, they have a deeper sound

Both are over priced. My flowmaster rusted out in about 2yrs.I put on the summit brand muffler.Sounds just like the flowmaster, and has been on there 3yrs so far.Plus its about 1/2 price.
