if u dont want to spend too much money and u want something thats loud and flows good, i would just cut the FM 40 off, put a magnaflow Y pipe ($25) and then two 12" dynomax bullets ($45 ea.), and connect it to ur current tailpipes

I know this question was probley asked a million times but I didn't want to jack someones thread. I got an 05 silverado ccsb 5.3 LM7 2wd I put a flowmaster super 40 si/do with 3in tips coming out the back angled like the 2500hd diesel exhaust tip. This is my temporary setup till I could figure out what I really want. I like the tone of the 40 but it is just to f***ing quiet. Im looking for a muffler that is brutal loud when you get on it but quiet enough to where I don't kill everyone in my truck when cruising the interstate. I looking for something that sounds deep and has a mean rumble at idle.Im looking for something dosn't drone or sound to raspy and something that gives me more hp/tq not loose also something that flows. It has to be stainless si/do I really don't know what inlet/outlet size its either 2.25 or 2.5 or it might be both.
I plan on keeping stock heads and cats. My first idea was to run true dual cut the y pipe off after headers put an x-pipe then run stainless steel piping to dynomax race bullets and keep the orginal setup of the tailpipes. Only down fall on this setup was that its was gana be more $$$$
My second idea was get a flowmaster super 10 cut out the super 40 weld on the super 10 and the just extend the piping cuz the super 10 is a smaller muffler. This setup is way cheaper to do than the other one with the bullets got me leaning more to it.
Someone told me about spintech pro street 9000 I never heard of that brand yet they said that it was f***ing loud. There is so many diffrent types of mufflers out there and so many diffrent setups its hard to choose. If yall know of a muffler that has what im looking for fell free to post and or any good setups.

Well guys I've been researching and calling around at muffler shops and I keep on hearing diffrent things. I asked about my first option cutting the Y-pipe off and put an X-pipe and off the bat the guy told me that it would make my truck loose power and im like ok. Then I went to another muffler shop and brought up my first idea and the guy said the dynomax race bullet is **** at certin speeds he must be talking about the sound. Then the guy told me just cut the Y-pipe off after the headers and run true dual all the way to flowmaster super 10's and change the tip to a 4in tip and no crossover. I told the guy about the first muffler shop on what the guy said and he said that he don't know what he is talking about this setup is going to give you more power. I don't know who's telling the truth?

I have a spintech and I love it man...the 9000 is the loudest street muffler they make I have the 6000 which is the step down from that. link in sig is a exhaust clip
I just put a pypes race pro on my truck and its really deep and quiet. However there violator series is like a magnaflw straight threw but without the packing so from what youtube shounds like its fairly miled while crusing and loud at WOT. There only $60 a peice but the bad side is there all si/so mufflers.

ehhhhhhh some $20 ones off ebay...they have a black housing, not smoked lens or reflectors
they look pretty nice in the vid, ive been sick of the lame stock housings, especially the bottom ones. Do you think smoked, black, or clear would look best on a dark blue truck?

For blue I'd go clear or BRAND new OEM. I really like seeing a truck where the lights are just clean as hell stock lenses.
Do you have chrome rims or what?
i have the stock aluminum rims, truck is real clean and nice, so i want some that look really sharp

If you have stock rims and dont plan on replacing them I'd just buy brand new stock lenses that would look the cleanest IMO.
ill see what kind of price i can get on those then, i have sylvania headlight housings, which look like super clean oem. But I may get some aftermarket rims when money allows next year

I change my mind ima just redo everything and go big at one time. I want to put some headers on my truck what I had in mind was some long tubes. I talk to some muffler guy at a shop and he said that get shorty's instead of LT's because that I have a stock cam bla bla bla. He was dead set on this set up shortys into a single 3'' pipe to a si/do super 10 into 4'' tips. The guy kept saying all kind of stuff and I want to hear what yall have to say. Feel free to change up the setup put yall 0.02 cents in. Now im looking for more power now pretty much all around power I plan on getting a bb tune and an intake after the exhaust.
Whenever you get the bb tune can you post what you think of it?
Thanks
