5 inch diesel tips?

I was thinking about putting 5 inch diesel tips on my 97 Z 5.7l its straight piped true duals. Just wondering if it would make it louder? Or just make it sound like butt. Just wondering if anyone has ever barked up this tree before...

It will certainly resonate a bit more.... Whether or not it sounds good, though, is totally opinion-based. I personally don't like it that much, but lots of people do...

In theory it should have it come out at a slightly downward angle, which resonates off the ground and back up to the truck, but that's in a purely "on paper" scenario, who knows if it actually does anything in application, once you start factoring in exhaust pressure, atmospheric pressure, tip angle, piping length, etc...
