Picked up a Dynomax Ultra FLOW muffler 3 inch inlet and outlet ,MagnaFLOW 3 1/2 inch tailpipe. and a magnaFLOW dual 2 1/2 inlet and 3 inch outlet Y adapter. had it welded in for 75 bucks and It sounds Perfect and I picked up 1 1/2 miles per gallon over the stock setup and that was gagging it for the first few days every chance I got.

    Pardon the goofy commentary

all stainless unlike the cheap pot metal flowcrapper used. took my plasma cutter and cut open the stock muffler and Man those things are stuffy. I'll get pics of that today.
Price of Parts $189 and $75 for installation. = $264 for the Perfect exhaust.

Perfect exhaust? You have dynoed it against all other options to find that this is the best highest horsepower, tested it to find that it is the best flowing and also tested the materials to find that they will be the longest lasting to make your system?

The dynomax ultraflow rectangle-shaped muffler is a straight through design, comprised of a perforated tube surrounded by continuous "roving" fiberglass. It is going to deteriorate and change tone eventually.

If it's too loud it will make people mad, and we as truck owners can't be making people mad because they might outlaw trucks!

this is true, i have had a few tickets in my HD with the borla exhaust. certain municipalities have banned loud exhaust on vehicles and motor cycles during certain hours because it is an "ear sore"

We should all just start walking so that we don't make anyone mad! But make sure you stay on the sidewalk, we would hate to offend the grass by walking on it!

Nice components selected and used. I had the same Dynomax Ultra-flo muffler on a previous vehicle and I kept expecting it to get much louder over time, but after a few years of use, it sounded the same as the day I installed it. Probably one of the most under rated straight-through stainless steel mufflers on the market IMO.

Bottom line is that you were able to create a great setup and no doubt sounds terrific and the nice stainless steel means you won't be dealing with a rotted muffler or tailpipe ever.

Nice sounding exhaust system, I was thinking about getting that same muffler but was conserned about loosing low end torque cause my engine is not a higher reving design.

I have the same muffler on a 6.0l 2500hd long bed, outside sound is great, inside is pizzing me off, too much drone at 1500-2000rpms. Will be trying a branch resonator next couple of weeks see if it will change anything.

If you like it, great. Personally its not my idea of perfect. Wrong materials and sound to be perfect.
