exhaust piping?

This is a discussion on exhaust piping? within the Exhaust forums, part of the Performance category; okay i know this is a moronic question but the piping right after the factory cat, is it 3 inch? ...

    okay i know this is a moronic question but the piping right after the factory cat, is it 3 inch? it has to be bigger than a 2.5 i know that. and its a 90 chevy 1500 350 2wd.

    are you sure? its a pretty big pipe. the factory cat is the size of a damn cardboard box

    Yea I'm quite positive, my brother had a '92 and 3" pipe slipped right over the stock pipe, it should be 2.75
