Of the 2 options you presented, I say hi-flo. But your stock cats are fairly free-flowing as it is, so why bother?

My exhaust is goin on my 97 silverado 350 next week. It's goin to be flowmaster 40 originals 2.5 inch adn then back to 22 inch long 3.5 inch tips. I want it to be a good sounding loud. My question is should i get some high flow converters or aren't they really worth the money, or should i just get simulators and take the cats off. I want to get the best sound with the best performance. I don't plan on getting headers so it will just be exhaust.

The only reason I would replace if them is if you have fairly high mileage on your truck (over 100K). They will eventually clog over time and it will affect performance.
