No. They seem to shorten header life quite a bit. I've seen a few sets of header wrap come off and the headers were very very rusty. IMO they are ok for racing apps but not really street worthy.

U sure I have heard both sides??? Arent they all going to rust eventually? Talked to my muffler guy today and he said they were good. These are the ceramic coated. Just concerned about melting wires and it being really hot under the hood.
They will rust faster. I've seen it. It's really not worth it IMO and as long as you route your wires right they won't melt. Just my .02 worth...Originally posted by little red 4.8

It said right there on the header info if you apply header raps you void your warranty on the headers. Only prob is now they rub up against the steering shaft. Can't catch a break.

thorley long tubes. Yeah that was an expensive little adventure

going faster and being louder $priceless
$1000 isn't too bad... hell headers for a LS1 camaro/firebird are around $600-$1000 and that's just buying the headers...

Most of our headers that are long tube are around $700 I think. Bought mine off a guy here. Can get short tubes for alot cheaper about half. It was just kind of a shock cause the directions said you could use old cats wasn't looking to spend that mone just yet but what the hell.
why not cut the kitties out and run some O2 sims?

Our trucks need some back pressure. I didn't even have to run sims with the HPP3 when I drove to get them hooked up the check engine light never even came on and the kats where in the cab with me.
