    is this a likely possibility?

my truck has un-explainably taken a turn for the worse here lately, and was suspecting the computer to be bad.

I swapped out my computer for a '95 305 truck comp. with my chip= didn't help
swapped his 305 chip on my head/cam big injector'd 350, and it ran smooth as could be imagined with a stock tune.

put his chip in my comp, just to check my computer, and it was fine. put my chip back in, and it went to hell again. wtf?

I figured they were either good or bad. funny thing is, the truck ran fine for a week after being tuned, and now it's went to hell.

When my prom was bad the check engine light blinked rapidly, because it wasn't reading the data. If yours is doing this you need a new chip, if not something could have got corrupted somewhere

the SES light isn't randomly flashing (although 2 years ago, in a tuning miss-hap, the chip got erased somehow, and tried running the truck with no tune on the chip, lol)

I've narrowed it down to the chip for sure now. just need a new one.
