    Remove glove box liner. Computer is to the right. On mine, I just pulled it to the left and it unclipped. Unplug wires.

    thanks got it out just didnt want to break something. are the codes different tunes or setups. im asking becouse ive heard gm had a chip for these trucks

    I couldn't tell you anything about that. As far as I know, GM only has stock replacement chips. http://www.tbichips.com is probably the best place to get a chip for an OBD1 truck.
