so i have a 93 C1500 with the 350 cid but i want more power (i want to make this truck into a street truck) so would it be easier to build up my 350 or to drop a create engine and if it is easier to drop a create engine in it what size should i go? i want lots of power but i dont want to go with big block because of the weight.

More detail... Gear ratios, what trans? Tire size? What has been done to it? Weight (cab and bed configuration will do)? And what kind of ' street truck' do you want to build? Do you want a nice riding truck with a little pep? Or are you wanting to beat the latest greatest sports cars?

thanks for the reply GreaseDog as the post says "newbie" so i am not sure on what you mean by gear ratio, and my trans i believe is a 4L60E and as far as tires go i was thinking about running 18in rims. i do want this truck to compete and beat sports cars and newer musle cars

Sit back, start reading, and save your pennies. Maybe by the time you graduate you can make the truck that fast.
