ok so these numbers are from my aeroforce scan gauge, so im not saying they are set in stone. i will believe them when i get it on a real dyno.
it tolds me a 12.8@109mph in the 1/4 mile
and i saw a peak of 361 crank hp before i bumped the limiter.
compared to some of the other builds it seems a bit on the high side, but it may be a factory freak, or just some skewed numbers.
this is in a 3200 pound 89 s10 blazer.
engine mods
95 tbi block, from a 3500 truck.
98 top end and wiring harness from a 3500 truck
eagle rotating assembly
lt4 hot cam and 1.6 roller rockers
shorty headers
custom fabbed single exhaust
stock poppets
s10 air intake
blackbear tune
it sure dont feel like 300hp because its so quite, but maybe thats just my mind playing tricks on me.

Doesn't sound unreasonable at all. That is a LIGHT vehicle, and 361 is a conservative number for a Hotcam and Vortec heads if it's put together correctly and is allowed to breathe, as it appears it will.

it calcualtes everything based on air flow through the maf, im not sure exactly how it works, but i think it calculates power based on how much and how fast air is flowing through the maf.Originally Posted by chrisk1500
for the 1/4 mile it basaically just records the ammount of time it takes for the vehicle to go 1/4 mile.
there isnt really any information to set. all i had to enter was the altitude of my city and thats it.

keep in mind im running a complete L31 fuel injection setup which seems to be the limiting factor of this comboOriginally Posted by 96ImpSS
i know of a guy running a stock 97 l31/4l60e in a blazer just like mine but a couple years older.
he has headers, e-fan, and 1.6 rockers on a 130,000 mile motor and went 14.6@93(i think) with a 3.42 open diff rear end.
so it apears that the l31 setup in an s-series is about 1 second quicker in the 1/4 mile then when it is in its fullsize counterpart.
