I'm screwed, truck went to ****. Outlawz2004, My slips are in my truck at the dealership. I know this must sound like a line of total BS.
I stopped in at work and on my way home the engine quit. Just lost power and it would barely restart. When it did it had a horrible knock and the timing seemed way off.
I have to get my firefighting gear out of it tomorrow morning so I'll grab my slips and I'll send them to you tomorrow.

I give up
Where you at in New York, I used to live in Calcium when I was in the military.
I live in the just east of Albany.
I just got off the phone with a friend of mine who works at the dealership, he didn't go into detail but he said I'm going to end up buying a new engine.
Anyone have a suggestion for a replacement? I'm going to end up just getting the stock replacement off of Jegs or Summit but if anyone has a better idea, I'd appreciate it.
I dont know why he edited it and removed the times. I was doubtful of such a great time for what he had from the start, but even more so now.LOL He had posted 14.9@93 in the first post. Maybe he will come thru with those time slips and prove us wrong.

Not for 4wd that's for sure, even a rcsb... plus the avatar looks like ecsb.
Bummer about the engine.
'92 Sierra (TBI 383/Vortecs/Comp 08-412-8/EBL/4L60/3.08s), '78 Malibu (Vortec'd 350/4-speed/2.29s), '87 Pontiac Fiero GT (2.8 v6/5-speed)
I'm heading over to the dealership in about an hour. You people are making me wonder if I really ran a 14.9. Y'all are making it sound like I did the impssobile so something here is clearly off.
I got a call saying that I floated an exhaust valve. Don't know what I'm going to do at this point so it may be the end of owning my Chevy truck, I cant afford to replace an engine right now so I'm definatly screwed.
Anyone know where I can get a cheap 350 or even a 305? I bet my only option is to get a used engine at this point.
Thanks,
Justin
There are tons of them in the scrap yards, car-part.com, etc. Simply replace it with a used engine. I dont know why you are wondering about your time, just post the slips that you have. Post all three runs( it was three runs you said wasnt it). What track did you run at up there so we can check the DA at the time of the runs, that will give you a more accurate time.
If you damaged a piston you'd need an engine. If just a valve is toast you only need a head. Replacement head != new vehicle.
