A donor harness from a 88-92 would help. plus your gonna need a custom burnt chip. what year is the 700r4? does it have the electronic vss?

The only electrical item you need for 700r4 is
to control the torque converter lock up.
You can do it manually with a $3 toggle switch or
you can use any number of ways to "controllers".
U can even use a vacuum switch so the trans only
"sees" power to lock-up at a set/stable engine
    vacuum.

    Re: 700r4 retrofit

yea i've got all that stuff in my 86 which would go into the blazer along with the trans, my biggest question is, if i just unplug the harness at the trans, and leave it, will it screw with my engine? i doubt it would, but i wasnt sure if it changed anything with fuel or anything depending on what gear its in,

    Re: 700r4 retrofit

    You will be fine..
The "harness" that plugs into a 700r4 really
only operates the lock up function.
Your engine doesn't care what the trans is doing!
