there must be some slipping if you get the p1870 code. the pcm is upping the line pressure to try to buy you some time.

This story has been told too many times before. It's a problem that has plaqued chevy owners for too long now. My recommendation is to just forget about the simple fixes and patch jobs and get your finances ready to pay for a quality rebuild and have all the updates done. Otherwise you will fight this problem till it inevidably leaves you no choice but to get a rebuild and you waste a lot more money getting there.

Says and does fact or fiction... A lot of people say a lot of things. I've heard it all. I've had calls to my shop from mad customers saying you rebuilt my transmission and now it's left me stranded. After pulling their information we find out all we did is a service told them we found metal in the pan and they said just do the service. In their opinion we rebuilt their transmission, so you have to deal with that from people you purchase your vehicle from. My answer is if they claim it has been rebuilt, tell them to produce the work order that proves it. A transmission filter and fluid change does not constitute a rebuild at anyone's standards.
