what part of fl are you in, i just moved here. can you give me any info on that foward spring. did you have something like that happen. and how would i verify that would be the issue.... inside the pan or is access through the front pump seal
the forward sprag is inside the input drumn its either the forward sprag or the forward clutches went bad or the piston broke depending on what yr 60e it is. UH yeah lol I see this all the time I build these evryday lol. unfortunatley to fix that you will need a rebuild. to verify if you pull it down to manual low and it goes forward then the forward sprag is bad because the ovverun clutches will come on in manual 1st and give you a weak forward. you may also have broken the low roller clutch which only runs low gear. I am located in Mt. Dora, fl Lake county. right below ocala next to seminole and orange county.

listin to this guy lol, hes knows his stuffhe build my 60e and it hasnt missed a beat
60e is from a 1997 k1500. funny thing is though previous owner claims was rebuilt. i dont drive much at all. ive probley put 4000 miles on it during the one year that i have owned this truck. torque converter looked new. everything down there showed signs like it had been worked. and it S**t on me like this. but anyways how much do you charge to do a 60e rebuild i will remove it and probley ship it to you or just haul it down there. im in the destin area. trans was probley rebuilt in pensacola i would assume by mr transmission. never had too good luck with them.
