This is a discussion on TCC Enable Temps for 07 Sierra Classic 4L60E? within the Transmission Tuning. forums, part of the Performance category; Are the TCC enable temps for a 2007 Sierra Classic (GMT800) with a 4L60E still; Min. Coolant temp= 60'C (140'F) ...
Are the TCC enable temps for a 2007 Sierra Classic (GMT800) with a 4L60E still;
Min. Coolant temp= 60'C (140'F)
Min. ATF temp = 20'C (68'F)
?
I ask as it seems like 3min idle time, 2min city driving then 60mph highway, I still need to travel about 5mi on the highway for the TCC to lock-up, but it has been damn cold lately.
Engine temp quite often makes to 90-100'C (operating temp) before TCC locks up, but at 60mph, engine will heat up, but little to no load on trans to heat it up.

seems about right to me. when my 02 locks up at around 5-8 miles(depends on route i take, the hill route warms up quicker) at or around 195f. i give it less then a minute of idle time. 40-50f degrees here.

I just looked a stock '07 GMC classic tune via HPTuners. I do not see any coolant or trans temp enable/control tables for the TCC. For the exception the TCC has a separate control table for "hot" mode without a disclosed trans temp.That table is for a overheating trans, it locks TCC early so it won't contribute to heat. Not saying there aren't coolant/temp tables in affect, just that I can't modify them with my software.
Perhaps someone with EFIlive can chip in.

I do know they exist, as I have seen them in EFI Live for a 96 4l60E.
Thanks for the info. Much colder here, so my TCC enable timing doesn't seem too bad.
