it will probably work. just make sure it looks exactly like what you got in the 1500. ie clutch hydraulics are the same for the throwout bearing, length, yoke splines, etc.

Hoping ill get a better response in this section as apposed to the general section. Ok so I need to replace the Nv3500 in my 95 2wd truck my question is im having a hard time finding a trans out of a 1500 but I see one for the s10's all over the place. So the question is will a trans from an s10 with a 4.3 work in my 1500? I've read around and there isn't too much difference but just would like some more reassurance before I pull the trigger.

Any news on this? I'm looking at 3500s right now, not sure the stock 4L60 will hold up much longer... found a couple in the area and I'll likely need a later one with an "internal" slave because I have headers.
