    Hello

Off the line under hard acceleration causes a 'shudder' btw 1-2nd gear. (normal driving its fine).

I dropped the tranny pan to change the oil.

Oil was brown like coffee and smelled burnt.(only 4 months since last changed and small particles were present).

No particles this time, only a bit of sludge on the magnet.

Put in fresh oil and some LubeGuard protectant.

    Why is it shuddering?

    Anyway to stop it?

Is the tranny about to die?

All gears work fine, no noises etc.

    Yes, 4L60E......

It seems to shift fine when driving 'conservative'. No noises, grinding or anything else.

Would coolant in the tranny fluid cause this too?

coolant would destroy everything in the transmission. if you have coolant mixed with atf, its time for a rebuild.

Yup.....from my experiance, coolant destroys the adhesive that bonds all the clutch material to its plate
