Looks awesome man. How do you plan on makin' it reattach? One sturdy hinge on the part right under the A-pillar?

Nah just a couple of pins from the top half down into the bottom half. The top halves will only be on when it is parked outside, not when driving. It has a good heater so winter should be fun.

Looks good bud, Might be a pain in the butt to work under the dash for electrical work now. What kind of plans you got for this thing?

looks good! does that truck get driven on the street too? just wondering if you were going to attach some mirrors to the pillar or something to keep it legal.

Probably going to get a mirror attached to the fender or door half. But for now its a trail only rig.

Plans are my 33" LTB's, front locker is in the mail, then wheel the crap out of it. Its locked in the rear and on the mall terrains it already does pretty well.

    Cool project man!!!

My buddy wants to turn his 87' 3/4ton PU into a mainly offroad ride. It needs doors anyway... so he wanted to "chop up" the stockers and make some half doors out of them.

It is a little bit of a jump to get in, so i think we are going to add some grap handles to the inside roof area. but hopefully the addition of some meaty tires will set off the look a little.

Doors?! Who the hell needs doors?! I'm glad to see you're getting some work done on the K5, that means we'll be getting some good wheeling pictures soon. Looks good man.

1 week from tomorrow it will be wheeling one way or another. So this weekend is crunch time. Doors will be done by sunday, and the front locker will be in. Then next week will be rear axle swap, and 35's.

Yeah i have a miller 251 with spoolgun at home but its far far away. This thing is great allows you to do good field repairs, as well as fab parts 500 miles from home like in this case. Aluminum, stainless, steel i can lay down perfect beads with it.

Looks good so far, I like that idea that you will be able to re-attach the doors. Hmmm my pass door is already smashed in on my blazer.
