a little swap!! well not so little

ok fellas ill let u know what is goin on. i have a 79 3/4ton gmc longbed 4x4. the cab floor was rotted. so i started lookin for a cab to replace it. oh and might i add that the gmc had a replaced frame and the motor had 12k miles on it. saposidly that is. anywho in my search for a cab i came across a cab that also came with a short bed 2wheel drive frame for 100 bucks. came with a bunch of stuff as well. anywho so i decided that i was gona throw my 4x4 longbed stuff (everything but the cab) onto the shortbed frame. well i thought it would be a swift swap but needless to say more is involved then expected. i the front of the rear leaf spring brackets are different. theyre like an inch and a half wider. bump stops are longer and the braket that goes against the leafspring frame extinsion thingy is an inch longer. but other then that no problems yet.. lots of rivets!!! o i forgot to mension im starting from the rear and working forword. should have front hanger of rear springs mounted soon. i just figured id write this up incase anyone was thinking of doing the same. any insight or tips would be greatly appereasheated. i will try and get pics some time..
