Well here she is, this took a good amount of time to get it how I wanted, and now I already have Ideas for the next one. This console now houses my CB, Trans temp gauge, ambient air temp gauge, 3 switches, storage compartments, cup holder and rear air vents. putting the wood together

After bondo and a ton of sanding with first coat of paint/texture on.

Finished product, Face and lid wrapped in Realtree AP, got paint color matched to interior, although it's not exact, it is close.

Well there she is, Let me know what you think. I like it alot, but I decided to list it up for sale to see if there are any takers. I don't need to sell it, but I am trying to buy some more hunting gear, so I could use the money, and I have some Ideas for a new one, since that woodworking stuff kinda gets addicting. But anyways here is the link if anyone is interested that's fine, if not, no biggy. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...%3AMESELX%3AIT

For it being the first edition, fcking awesome man... i like how the panel is tilted towards the driver...

With that said though, a lot areas to improve on for the sake of looks.

The cubby/air vents or what every that gapping hole is on the back, needs alittle work.

the biggest thing that bothers me, and having wood skill i understand there isn't much you can do short of going to fiber glass... but with the curves of the dash and just knowing what the factory ones look like... the sqaureness really stands out... to a tacky point almost...

Have you considered looking at glass work instead, as you have a GREAT base in terms of ideas and stand point...

And the lid, personally it would be hinged to the passanger, easily to dig threw i find while driving...

just my $1.50 worth of advice...

Thanks, and I hear ya on the squareness. Edition 2 might be fiberglass, hopefully. but yah there are some areas to work on, but it was a good starter project. I debated opening the lid with the hinge to the passenger, but I kinda liked how it opened towards the back, so I went with that.
