    What are you doing for exhaust manifolds? Schoenfeld headers say to use 1" forward mounts with their headers. 91blkspd has those headers, I'm not sure what he used though. From a performance standpoint, 1" setbacks would be the way to go.

    nice thorough restoration. I cant believe i missed this build until now. Im thinking once mine gets back on the road i might be looking for an LS swap myself.

    Im on 0" setback mounts, headers had more clearance. If he's going to run that 80e, he's going to have to grind/cut/clearance that bellhousing just like the NBS guys do for their headers to not hit the bellhousing. and
    With an 80e transmission he's going to have to get a custom driveshaft made, or have his current one modified.

    Thanks for tips guys. I'll see where the standard plates take me. I am about to head out to the garage to start the tear down. I decided to just tear the front end off rather than trying to "cherry pick" the motor down into the engine compartment. I need to replace the crappy Chinese radiator support anyway

    Here in CA, my Sport 350 k1500 came with black bumpers, mirrors, and grill. My invoice is very similar, except the trans, even the cargo lite delete we both have. Nice engine!
