Cheapest I could find online were from classicparts.com for $100 each + 20 shipping for both. Luckily, the two rear steps were good enough to be sandblasted and re-coated.
I used rough county's 2-3 inch lift kit, which I won't comment on until it's road tested. But you can look through the previous pages of this thread and come up with your own opinion.... You'll see my opinion as you read.

Soooo i set the bed on to see how it fits level and square-wise, then realized I think it's gonna be higher than I anticipated! Will 31's do the job here? Those are 285's in the pic.

Is it sitting on its own weight or are those rear jack stands holding up? Either way, a 285 is a 33" tire and 31's on 15's would be way too small.

oops forgot. It's off the stands, I forgot to slide them out. The 285's are on the stock 16" wheels.
I decided to strip the cab down while waiting for the motor to come back. Of course, these were frozen and had to be drilled!

Managed to get a few more hours on it this week...
Got the cab stripped down and as you can see, the wet Indiana winters still managed to hide it's destructive force. Now I'll have to strip and coat the floors as well...
Water and salt runoff and pooling from wet winter heels,

Some more dress-up parts from TA Performance while having a spare day off from work and awaiting the motor.....

Motor man says that the connecting rods are crashing into each other when rotated. I suggested he got the wrong crank. He had the crank replaced with new, and same issue. the rods are the original ones reconditioned. I think the machine work was bad... he says he's done countless 350's without this problem. Anyone familiar with this?

Pontiac Blue!! i know you got the rear-end all done, but if you do any serious offroading like mudding and small hill climbing a locker in the rear would be a great upgrade!! also, wanna come to my house and do this on my '93?? winters are more mean up here than they are there..![]()

Finally got a little time with the truck again..... Getting ready to place it back in but of course, going cheap comes back to bite me in the ass!
Quality flowtech headers,
These surely won't leak! (I will have to fix that).
Then this will sit flat..... when I'm done!
Goes to show you get what you pay for. If these fail I will get SLP coated like I originally wanted!

Yet another reason to stay away from flowtech headers...... Nothing like buying a set of headers and having to repair and hope they're gonna work!

Looks like they want you to use a low profile fastener.
Other option is to dent/notch the pipe.
