My advice on lowering your truck static.

Hey what's up guys...I'm new to the site but I have a 00' silverado shortbed, and I want to know if there are any places that sell the 2" hangers buy themselves b/c I already have the 2" shackles? And what should I do in the front? I want a low but very streetable stance.By the way the trucks look kick ass.

I have a 93 with a western chassis kit, flip in rear with homemade notch (super C style) front is 2" spindles, 2" eibach springs. I desire more drop especially in the front.
I am considering cutting the coil pocket out of the A arm and dropping it 1.5" by welding in a ring. Has anyone else tried this? Or should I go with a an arm kit. I really don't want to make the ride any worse than it already is by going with a shorter spring. does any one make a good kit to do this that gets the camber angles right? I would like to get close to 3" drop in the front and have a decent ride. I really dont wnt to do bags.

IMO you should just get a 3" coil. You could try and drop the coil pocket but you're more than likely gonna have alignment issues with the spindles and the drop pocket. Plus you may have issues with the pocket being lower than your lower rim edge which would violate scrub laws.

ok, im suspension challenged, so i am relying on some of you technuts.
ive got this 92 c1500 350 standard cab/short wheelbase and installed
PSJ 18x8 enkei with 255/55 tires. the front is lower than the front (the rake)
and already have the belltech shackles with factory rear springs.
now ive got this nose bleed stance with the truck. comming off the 295/50-15
the truck is too tall. before i installed the taller wheel/tires (29.5") i was looking
into a 2/4 drop. now possibly lower.
heres the needs:
daily driver
maintance free (dont wanna keep tweaking this forever)
hauls payload (1000lb max) occassionally
not looking for "laying frame stance"
pricing isnt major, but not looking for gold plated
not looking forward to bed surgery
air ride isnt out of the question
looking forward to suggestions, pictures are proudly accepted.

if you want a semi-low stance, a 4/6 is your best bet. Some 2" spindles(djm or western chassis), 2" coil springs(belltech, djm, western chassis) and a flip kit for and c-notch for the back(djm, belltech, western chassis). Your tires seem to be pretty big. I'm not sure they would even tuck on a 4/6 if you hit a bump. Do you know the backspacing on the wheels? www.stylinconcepts.com has great service and pretty good prices. Start off looking there to piece a kit together.

A 4/6 is a nice "slammed" stance for most people and you can use some Air Lift helper bags like CKTA did on his 96 to keep the rear end level when you tow/haul stuff. Or, if youre looking to spend a little more money for lower, you can use 2" spindles, the Air Ride Technologies Cool Ride front bag kit , the KP parallel 4 link, an engine driven compressor like the Air Commander, 3/8" valves and line, and a couple 5 gallon tanks under the bed for storage. Since youre not concerned about laying you can get a notch from SuicideDoors.com and cut it down to fit under the bed, weld it in and then box the areas of the frame closest to the notch. You'll have a super strong, towable, reliable, easy to install bag setup that gets lower than most.

Stylin' sells complete kits (with or with out shocks) from companies such as DJM, BEll Tech and Ground Force. It's actually best/cheaper to buy it in "kit" form.

Ohh......I misread that. Then they probably use different means of lowering then. One may use springs and one may use LCA's.

Are you sure the 394 was INLUDING shocks? And if so...was it for the same year model truck?

I think I know what youre talking about. Belltech offers the same drop but with different shocks. One uses the nitro drop shocks, the other uses the better "nitro active" shocks.
