the simple answer is yes. Do some research and you will learn

mike your truck is just about the stance im lookin for, would like to sit the front vlance on the ground. looks killer!!!! gives it the hotrod look i think!!
I would venture to guess that my truck has more torque than nearly any and if handles it fine. If you build the suspension properly it will handle the power. The air bas are really only springs so it's the suspension design that will put power to the ground without hopping. Just for aurgument sake my truck dynoed 773 ft/lbs of torque. My hp probably isn't as high as some but the twisting force is what is going to make you hop.

yes they work together, like anything else, when done correctly. 4 link is a must out back. Introwheels is running in the 400+ rwhp range if I remember right and he is definetly laying out with bags and a kp 4 link(with canti bag attachment) out back

so with my 5-8 drop and my jdm c-notch i can lay like mike, ok so what am i lookin at for price for a kit to lay like mike or a lil lower... slow up and down...dont need a big tank....just want a great handling air ride setup!! need it to perform in corners and such!!!
for performance, I'd go with Air Ride Technologies. Airbar out back, which is roughly 1200, but includes bags, shocks, and custom bolt in c-notches. I'm assuming you already have either spindles or lower control arms, so all you need up front is bags and cups, which run 150ish for a pair of bags, 75 for cups, 100 for shock relocation and new shocks. 1 compressor is about 200, tank is 50ish, 8 valves is about 250, 200 for fittings, 50 for airline, 60 for 2 dual needle gauges, and a ton of odd and end parts. I'd guess roughly 2500.

You might want to throw a rear sway bar into the mix as well![]()
yeah, 4 link is a must. finally got on her pretty good last night in a race(chev ss) minimal white smoke off start due to new tires and no wheel hop at all. thats the 50//50 setup.
My truck's motor is stock, but I can tell you that my bag setup will amaze anyone in the twisties!
Air Ride + Power = YES!!!!
At one time Tony was talking about a set up that they were working on for a Top Fuel car.

Yeah that's at the wheels for me too. I am thinking about twins now trying to decide which truck to put it on. I have a 96 dodge with a cummins and my chevy and the chevy is the hotrod right now. But with twins the dodge could give it a run for it's money. We'll see it's stupid how much power you can make with these engines and it's really relatively inexpensive. I have less than 2000 in the chevy engine and it's putting down nearly 400 horse and 773 torque. Pretty crazy. And it almost lays frame. It will one day when I spend some time on itOriginally Posted by SteppinLo

Beyond Static©--for performance, I'd go with Air Ride Technologies.
with the air ride tech-air bar out back can i use a rear sway aswell? also in front what bags would i want to handling, small ones? will this setup out perform my 5-8 drop i have now--2 spendels 3 springs, 6 flip with 2 shackels.......also with this kit yoru saying how low will i sit? sounds like most all this kit will be bolt in, how much cutting, welding, fab will be invalved??
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Comp...1QQcmdZViewItem i foudn this kit forsale, would this do what i want it to!??
The airbar out back will get you about 2" from laying frame on a 27" tall tire, or pretty close to that estimate. I honestly have no idea if you can fit a sway bar out back with the bags being mounted behind the axle. If you want a performance handling up front, I'd go with slam specialties rs72 bags. This is a very stiff bag, which many people run. I run them up front combined with bilstein shocks, and it is a very stiff, yet performance type handling. You can keep the stock swaybar up front with no modifications to it. You will have to trim the front spring pockets heavily to fit the bags, which is common on all OBS trucks.
From my understanding of the OBS airbar kit, the main cutting will be notching the frame for the c-notches, and the bed support above the differential. You will have to do a lot of drilling to mount the rear suspension components, but thats an easy task.
The hardest part IMO is the front, since you will have to do a lot of frame cutting, mainly in awkward positions. If you want the valance to lay on the ground, you will have to trim a little bit off the lca's(they have a stock metal bumpstop that must be removed), as well as notch the front of the frame for the tierods, since they will hit once you lay frame. Keep in mind, all this is for a 27" tall tire. If you run shorter tires, you will be lower, and have to do less cutting up front.
